Experience Summary:
Through Nicole’s minor in Product Design, she is well-experienced in the design process from start to finish. She has developed the tenacity to execute her ideas, receive feedback, and possesses the foresight to know when to pivot. Nicole is technically skilled in product sketching by hand as well as digitally, effectively communicating her design ideas and process, and 3D modeling such designs. Leveraging a foundation of knowledge in materials science, Nicole is experienced in building low to high-fidelity physical prototypes. She greatly enjoys this hands-on, sculptural process and embraces the challenge of using limited resources to convey her ideas in a cost-effective, visually enticing manner that displays the functionality of the user experience. Lastly, Nicole has gained valuable experience pitching her ideas to prominent Iovine and Young faculty and colleagues in the field. Through one of her classes, she successfully pitched her design solutions to a body care company. These designs, developed over a three-month period, earned her the Student Product Design Award, and they are set to be implemented in the company's storefront.
